Lahannya – Defiance: Doing a Covershoot

Lahannya visited my studios two years ago with the complete Band. The results were really great and we met a lot of times for small shootings, concerts, studioreports and other things. It was everytime a pleasure to meet Lahannya, Lutz, Chirs and Bell again. She told me, that her new album Defiance gets a cover in comicstyle. She works together with the Comic-Designer John Masse and showed me some of his first designes. And this looks really good. Lahannya has also to be on the cover. Here she need some new pics wich are fitting good in the style from John. Also poses and light musst be oriented very closed to his first designes. She asked me if I am able to do that. And of yourse I promised her to do that and we seached for a date for our shoot.

Lahannya arrived early because there are a lot of things to do. We planned exactly poses and light by drinking some tea. (Lahannya lives in London 🙂 The planning was not really easy because John is not on the set. He is in USA and have to work with our results. But some mails and calls are helping. Here you see one page from the story book.

Storybook

The poses on the storybook were very expressive and strong. And Lahannya mada a good job. Of course we do a lot of different shots to have a lot of good results. And again, the work with Lahannya was great again. Shes very professional and looks really good. Fun Fun Fun.

After some hours we hat some really perfect shoots. Lutz Demmler (Lahannya and Umbra et Imago) joined us and we decide to have a little BBQ to plan more things and to look again on the results. One of the pics was really great and fits very good to the style from John artwork. Here you se my edited Version.

We sent the pics to John. In the following weeks Lahannya and John are working on the Cover and the booklet. Now all is finish. The CD is available on 16. October. And if you search on Google for „Lahannya Defiance“ you find more then 1600 pages with more informations.
